Gynaecology is our key specialty at Oxford Women's Health. In fact we are the largest gynaecology practice in New Zealand.
Our team are recognised as leaders in the treatment of pelvic pain, endometriosis, abnormal and heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic floor prolapse and urinary incontinence. Our multidisciplinary approach to gynaecological care means that our patients receive the treatment and support they need from a range of women's health professionals, all within the same facility.
If you choose Oxford Women's Health, a gynaecologist will listen to you about the symptoms you're experiencing as well as your health history, personal circumstances and individual wishes. A tailored treatment plan will then be developed with you. This will often include a range of medical and surgical options, which will be discussed with you before you make a final decision.
Oxford Women's Health is recognised as a Centre of Excellence, using state of the art technology, and embracing innovation and new techniques. Our approach has enabled us to make significant clinical advancements.
If you do require surgery, we understand that you lead a busy life and don't necessarily want to spend a lot of time in hospital. So, we always aim to use the least invasive options, such as hysteroscopic and advanced laparoscopic surgery (keyhole surgery), when diagnosing and treating you. This, along with our ongoing research and clinical innovation, means that our patients can enjoy a smooth and fast recovery.
We believe that our allied health practitioners have a major role to play in many gynaecological conditions, so we often work with our colleagues in related disciplines such as:
- Endometriosis Coaching
- Menopause Centre
- Oxford Physiotherapy
- Oxford Dietetics
